Take a Clean Installation Photo That Will Help Your ROI

Learn Why Taking a Clean Cut Installation Photo Will Help Your ROI - And How to Do It!

Let's face it, first impressions matter—and that's especially true online. If you're trying to get social media followers, subscribers, or new clients, your point of sale installation photos are a great way to make a positive first impression.

Having an accurate representation of your installation can help attract potential customers' attention and turn them into actual customers. By sharing a photo of your best work on your website, social media pages, and in other places where potential customers may find it, you're displaying examples of the quality of work you can do—which can be just what they need to decide to hire you.

Keeping reading to see how in 3 easy steps.

Step 1: Lay the groundwork!

Take a photo of a clean-looking terminal. It's important to make sure there aren't napkins, crumbs, or drinks around the terminal so that your brand comes across with pride and the customer feels respected and taken care of.

Social media has become a necessary channel for our businesses to evolve. When we are ready to deploy an install, our technician or operations team is typically prepared with a checklist. Add one more check-off item to your tech.’s list: “Photo of a terminal (minimum of 1). The terminal needs to be presented neatly, no untidy pieces around the terminal, wires hidden and/or neat, unit on the login screen and/or order screen.”

Remember, it’s ok to walk away with more than one photo. Also, text or email examples of other installs for your team to look at, similar to the photo(s) in this blog.

Step 2: Setting up to take your shot!

Be aware of background items that can potentially distract from your photo. In other words, remove all distractions such as napkins, wires, and paper towel rolls that could appear in the background.

Most of our operations team is typically proficient with a smartphone. It’s almost second nature at this point. Set up a procedure that works for your company on where you will store these photos and upload them to OneDrive, Google Drive, DropBox, or any other preferred method of storing/sharing files.

**Tip: Leaving space around the focal point (in this case the terminal is your focal point) of your photo can add more visual interest versus zooming in. Sometimes you get a surprising detail that makes the photo even better, such as lighting from a restaurant or a row of wine bottles (that you can blur out for a fun effect). It makes for a more personal touch.

Step 3: Sharing the photo equates to business dollars!

The sooner your marketing team receives the photo(s), the sooner it can be uploaded on social media. This is key! The faster we are creating brand awareness on social media with a clean installation photo, the more competitive advantage our businesses will receive.

Remember mistakes happen and not every photo will be a winner, but the more in field photos we receive, the more your brand can grow.

Plus, we almost guarantee your customers will thank you!

Takeaway: Taking clean-cut photos of your client's installations is a great way to build brand awareness for not only your business, it also generates buzz   creating traffic to your website and social media platforms.
